For Congressman Odong Saludo, year 2002 ended with an eminent night of dinner hosting for a new cabinet member to join the Arroyo administration. Special guests included Speaker Jose de Venecia, H.E. Ambassador Herbert Jess of the German Embassy, Undersecretary Jocelyn Bolante of the Department of Agriculture and H.E. Noel Cabrera, Philippine Ambassador for Romania. They are joined by Congressman Prospero Pichay, Congressman Alfredo Marañon, Dr. Ceferino Follosco and Mr. Sirajuddin Qureshi, Managing Director of Hind-Agro Industries in India and a close friend of Saludo.
The fine cuisine and cozy ambience provided light discussions on the current Philippine agricultural trade policies and the programs of the Department of Agriculture under its new administration. Saludo also conferred DA concerns for Southern Leyte.
Last January 19, 2002, Saludo also hosted an exclusive dinner party for Honorable Elisea Gozun, Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
