Speech for the School Building Turn-Over
Honored guests, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon.
Our quest to inculcate in the minds of our young the significance of education is once again reinforced. This is because we never fail to cooperate and coordinate with generous people and organizations that give importance to the welfare of their less-fortunate countrymen.
The turn-over of the two-classroom school building is a very important event for all of us here. Not only does it signify our renewed commitment to advance education in our province, it also indicates that we have strengthened our bond with charitable institutions. For this, the people of Macrohon are especially elated. The efforts that Mr. And Mrs. William Gatchalian and the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Inc. have exerted to make studying in Barangay Ichon more productive will surely be remembered not only by us, but also by the future generation.
In behalf of the people of Macrohon, I would like to convey my heartfelt gratitude for the keen interest that you have shown to uplift the quality of education in the province of Southern Leyte.
This project, which aims to develop and expand the services of our educational institutions in the province, is immensely appreciated. Indeed, we thank you very much.
And for our young people, may this event inspire you to excel in school. It is in your unwavering commitment to do better in your studies that makes us, your elders, even more vigorous to provide better educational facilities that will make your studying more conducive.
Again, thank you very much. A pleasant day to all of us.
